Other Information:Compact DIOSNA P100 mixer-granulator, manufactured by Dierks & Söhne Maschinenfabrik, Osnabrück,
as used for the production of mixtures and granulates in the lower batch size range for pharmaceutical,
cosmetic and chemical applications. The stainless steel vessel has a swivelling, lockable lid with ventilation
and exhaust ports and is fitted internally with a multi-bladed mixing tool, consisting of a main agitator with an
additional chopper (defective). The machine stands on a painted base frame and is controlled via a top-mounted
control panel featuring several push-buttons, a key switch, an emergency stop mushroom switch, a timer and
a speed/time controller. The associated electrical control system is housed in a separate control cabinet
with conventional relay/contactor technology, circuit breakers and terminal blocks. On the side of the vessel there
is a discharge spout with a handwheel closure. Typically for this manufacturer, the batch size is between 30 and 90 per cent
of the total volume (P100/P150 series).
